Nerikomi often disappoints me, it often feels sterile and dull. But this has a feel like soft bark, gentle paper texture. The soft, glossy inner glaze and the matte exterior are stunningly contrasted!
Kyo ware is amazing and I love discovering new styles from Kyoto! Tenmoku, Raku, Kohiki glaze, Mishima, Gohon, Hakeme, ice crackle celadon, porcelain... Kyoto never ceases to surprise me!!

This cup is an oddity: a soft, smooth Tenmoku-gata cup with subtle craquelure from Seto.
The shape is really unexpected for a Japanese teacup. It is closer to a Chinese gong fu teacup: utterly open, allowing the scent to flow out. The lip is like velvet, utterly luxuriant.
Seeing Rokube Kato, an Akazu artist, experiment with something so unusual is really exciting. I am happy to see established, traditional artists try unexpected styles!

Very nice piece and only required a minor kintsugi repair.

I went nuts researching the Hachiku kiln. They are wild, punching above their weight. They innovate with celadon, ash glaze and yakishime.
This cup is lovely! The heat distribution, the lip, the ash glaze and the thinness are amazing! Wow!

I love Kiseto! These are my first Kiseto cups, but they have a glossy finish, amazing heat distribution and a subtly perfect shape! They are both stunning! Kiseto and Kiseto Oribe are so rare, so I am happy to finally cherish them!!

I absolutely love it! It is my first classic Biwa (loquat colour) Hagi cup! (I have an unusual, modern style, small Biwa Hagi cup also from Kinsen Tokyo that I adore!)
Beautifully weighty with a great texture. It is truly beautiful! The colour in real life is better than the pictures since it is quite reflective, but I love the creamy orange hue.

Amazing product, true work of art. Everything on time, as described.
And with a sweet origami touch as a bonus. Recommend
