Japanese keyaki (zelkova) wood lidded bowl, originally crafted as a traditional container for serving wagashi sweets. The beautifully figured wood grain and softly rounded form give it a warm, understated presence.
While traditionally used for Japanese sweets, it can also be used for storing small items, serving dry foods, or simply as a decorative container.
There are some age-related scratches and marks in several areas, as well as light rubbing and wear on the bottom. Overall, it remains in good vintage condition.
