Sake Cup | Irabo Style

$27.00

Irabo is a traditional style of pottery that originated in Korea.
It was highly prized by Japanese tea masters and later evolved further in Japan.

Made from coarse, iron-rich clay, Irabo develops its distinctive rough texture as tiny grains of sand burst through the surface during firing. Its soft yellow and light brown tones, combined with subtle variations in the glaze, create a quiet, understated beauty that embodies the spirit of wabi-sabi.

This cups features a technique called Kugibori, in which a nail-like tool is used to carve marks into the surface.
It is very thin and lightweight.
