Stunning tea cup from Otaru-Kiln in Hokkaido.
Otaru Kiln, known for its distinctive clear blue-green glaze, came to an end in 2007 after 107 years of history due to a lack of successors at Shirase Touen, the oldest pottery in Hokkaido. In 2025, Shintaro, the fifth-generation successor, revived Otaru Kiln.
These cups are rare new old stock pieces produced before the kiln’s closure in 2007.
