About the Artist:
Ichiro Kimura studied under Hamada Shoji starting in 1935 and established his own kiln in 1947. Recognized as a master of Mashiko-yaki, he held numerous exhibitions across Japan, including a significant showing at the Tokyo National Museum in 1964 and a full retrospective at the Mashiko Ceramic Art Museum in 1998.
