Agano ware is a traditional pottery produced in Fukuchi, Fukuoka Prefecture. Originally developed for the tea ceremony during the Edo period, it was later recognized as one of the Seven Kilns of Enshu, selected by tea master Kobori Enshu.
Today, Agano ware is highly respected in Japan for its refined tea ceremony ceramics.
