A beautifully balanced antique mizusashi (water container) crafted in the Karatsu tradition. 
The rounded form and soft glaze exude warmth and quiet dignity, making it a refined choice for the tea ceremony or display. 
Delicate hand-painted grass motifs enhance its rustic charm.
Though compact in size, it holds a commanding presence.
Stunning piece.
This piece dates from the Edo to early Meiji period (mid-19th century).

No major damage or cracks. Natural signs of age consistent with use.

The black lacquer lid is a recent addition, custom-made to fit this mizusashi. It is in perfect condition.
The wooden box is also a modern creation, made to store and protect the piece securely.
