The eighth generation of the Okada Kiln, a venerable kiln that has been passed down for over 200 years of Hagiyaki pottery
In 2006, he is certified as a Yamaguchi Prefecture-designated Intangible Cultural Asset Hagi-yaki Kuroyaki holder.
