Wajima-nuri is a lacquer ware made in Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Wajima-nuri is characterized by the use of Wajima jinoko (earthen flour), which can only be found in Wajima City.
This is a high quality soil, and by using it as a base, it is possible to make stronger lacquerware. Another attractive feature of Wajima-nuri is its beautiful appearance.
Wajima-nuri is also an excellent lacquerware in terms of longevity. Wajima-nuri goes through more than 100 processes before it is released to the world. This not only makes it stronger, but also allows it to be repaired in case of breakage.
*Please be aware that all of products are vintage or pre-owned, meaning they are with a little dirt, scratches, stain.
