Otaru Kiln, characterized by its clear blue-green glaze, has come to an end after 107 years of history due to a lack of successors at Otaru Kiln Hakusei Touen, the oldest pottery in Hokkaido. (1900-2007)
Many connoisseurs have loved this Otaru ware, but with the demise of the Otaru Kiln, no new pieces will be produced, and the Otaru ware in use today will likely become a rare and precious item that will never be available again.
